Since she began her star-studded career at the age of four, singer Patti Austin has crossed all musical genres, worked as a prolific session musician and even as a commercial jingle singer.  Austin, the daughter of a jazz trombonist and goddaughter of musical legends Quincy Jones and Dinah Washington, won Best Jazz Vocal Album for “Avant Gershwin” at the 2008 Grammy’s. 

 

 

 

 

 

With three Grammy’s and seven gold records to his credit, NEA Jazz Master Ramsey Lewis has truly earned his nickname “the great performer,” a title reflecting his performance style, which displays his early gospel and classical training along with his love of jazz and other musical forms.  His latest work on Concord, “Songs From the Heart: Ramsey Plays Ramsey,” features his trio, with Larry Gray on bass and Leon Joyce on drums.
